Styling an Oversized Sweatshirt
Hello everyone! I am so happy to be writing this blog post because I’m currently sipping a cup of coffee in our balcony, enjoying this beautiful weather. Spring is finally happening here in Alberta and I couldn’t be any happier. I bought some spring clothes from Shein and as much as I want to share all of it today, I thought that one post isn’t enough to showcase them all. That’s why I decided to make a fashion haul series out of it and for today’s post, I am going to share with you how I style an oversized sweatshirt I bought from Shein!
For those who are not familiar with Shein, it’s an online clothing store that sells trendy clothes for all sizes in a very affordable price. When I saw this sweatshirt on their website, I knew I had to get it. The print, the colors and the sequins were the biggest selling point for me. Not to mention its cost. I bought this for only $11. I ended up getting two sizes bigger than what I expect but I look at it as an easy fix. However, that’s my personal preference. I find most clothes at Shein larger in size so if you prefer a sweatshirt that fits perfectly, I highly recommend you to read the description and the size guide thoroughly.
On lazy days, I would wear this oversized sweatshirt with pants or leggings but for today, I decided to pair it with a button detail skirt I also bought from Shein. I haven’t really purchased any Aztec or eclectic skirt before so I was really excited to get this. I didn’t know that the skirt is a button up skirt, meaning, the buttons in this skirt are not just details. It’s actually meant to be there for the skirt to be intact. There’s also a belt made with the same fabric which is included but I opted not to use it for today’s outfit.
Whenever I wear an oversized top, I always try to pair it with a tightly fitted bottom so I don’t look awkward. I’m just so glad that the skirt fits just perfectly. In fact, it’s my favourite item I bought from Shein! I wore a pair of nude ankle boots and a pink beret to complete the outfit. I also wore a red coat by the end of the day cause it’s getting a little chilly. I actually love the addition of the coat because it also adds more color on the outfit.
I am so into this whole look! I might actually wear this look more often this Spring. What do you think of this outfit? Do you like to see more fashion haul like this? Let me know in the comments section below!
